3 Things I learned From Leonard Nimoy
#2: He Always Found a Way to Improve Himself
It’s one thing to make a name for yourself; it’s another to escape the shadow of your own success.
A lesser man would have played Spock and retired comfortably, but Nimoy was an Alpha Man through and through.
He was NEVER a one-trick pony, and he always found other ways to make the most of his time on Earth (among other planets).
Nimoy wasn’t just an actor, but also an accomplished director, musician (recording several albums), author, pilot and photographer (he owned a camera from his teenage years right up to the day he died).
#3: He Created a Legacy That Will Outlive Him
We’ll never know the exact number, but Nimoy has undoubtedly inspired a LOT of astronauts, scientists and countless people involved in space travel, astrophysics and science in general.
Nimoy may have worked in fiction, but no one can dispute the impact he made in the real world. And that’s probably the biggest reason why I respect him.
And who else can leave us with such beautiful words?
“A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory.”
It takes a certain kind of man to leave such a huge mark in the world, and Nimoy is in that league of Alpha Men.
