Dutch dating coach for men Carlos Xuma replies to the allegations of the "power feminism" movement after several feminists voiced harsh criticism against him giving dating advice to men in a series of blog posts...
Amsterdam, the Netherlands June 9, 2010 - Top dating coach for men Carlos Xuma is subject of controversy in the Netherlands after several women from the Dutch "power feminism" movement voiced harsh criticism against him giving dating advice to men in a series of blog posts.
They and several Muslim women, professing they wear headscarves out of free will and not repressive Islamic laws, are quoted as saying: "Learning how to meet women is manipulation" as part of a string of what seem to be (personal) attacks on the character and work of Carlos Xuma.
In response, Carlos openly questioned feminism in a recent interview on the radio by asking: "Has anyone ever considered the side effects of feminism?"
He mentioned during the interview: “Dating coaches encounter dozens of guys suffering from a severe male identity crisis on a daily basis. These guys simply don’t know what being a man actually means, in fact, they fear women won’t like them if they display the characteristics that make men masculine. The stuff that makes men attractive. The cause: feminism.”
As proof of the negative side effects of feminism, Carlos Xuma asked all single men listening to the interview to really think about this reason why feminism has gone too far:
He said: “Early feminism protested against the idea that certain personality traits were associated with men and that others were associated with women. Feminists, for example, objected the fact that dominance was a male trait and that a nurturing instinct was a female trait. The result was that men started to fear or hesitate about being dominant and leading the way. Meanwhile, women want to be led! Feminism has only existed for 100 years or so while men have been leading the way for hundreds of thousands of years. So, from a genetical perspective, feminism is currently still irrelevant as women still instinctively crave to be led.”
Carlos Xuma continued: “Don’t assume male dating coaches are trying to be “male chauvinist pigs” here just because they are men who scrutinize feminism. No. Really, really think about this: women want men to hold open the door for them as the men gesture to them to come inside. Women want men to pull out their chair as men gesture to them to sit down. Being a gentleman as it’s called is actually leading the way, being dominant, because men gesture (tell) a woman to go inside, to sit down, and so on.”
He went on to say: “But because a large part of feminists demanded that dominance shouldn’t be associated with men per se? The unintended side effect was that men grew fearful of leading the way while women still instinctively craved to be led! Most men actually hesitate about choosing anything in a relationship, about voicing their opinion, and about being gentlemen now because they don’t want to be called chauvinist pigs. And the women? The women cry out that they want real men and they feel less and less attracted to most men because most men don’t dare to take the lead anymore.”
Carlos then visibly got angry as he revealed: “These days, whenever dating coaches go to clubs and bars with a couple of guys to coach them while they meet women? The students actually feel guilty for approaching women! Single men nowadays think they somehow need to apologize for having sexual intentions with women. They literally start apologizing for bothering women when they try to talk to them and they say “NO” or say they have a boyfriend. But men are supposed to approach, meet, date, and sleep with women. How else would humans survive as a species? It’s like it’s a bad thing that men crave to do what Mother Nature created them for: reproducing. And that’s just insane. That’s why feminism is overrated.”
He concluded at the end of the interview: “As men struggle to communicate about “girl problems” and the dating game with each other (which they almost never do), one can easily imagine the devastating effect feminism could have had and can have on the confidence levels of men. That’s why single men seriously need to consider why they’re so afraid of not getting women’s approval, why they’re afraid of being dominant, of being themselves, of being the way Mother Nature programmed them to be.”
The various Dutch "power feminist" blogs that initiated the (personal) attacks have yet to respond to Carlos Xuma's arguments as several European feminist groups have already protested against the arguments put forth.
Meanwhile, on an international scale, numerous supporters of "fatherhood discrimination" and followers of Australian-born anti-feminist Babette Francis and her Endeavour Forum have already shown their support for the Dutch dating coach.
Babette Francis is best known for her failed attempt at blocking the ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
